INVITATION
Dear Chess Friends,
Sports Club "ÐALTINIS" is pleased to invite visually impaired chess players
to the International Braille Chess Tournament in Commemoration of 20 years
of the Vilnius SC "ÐALTINIS", which will be held on June 23 - 30, 2013.
Number of participants is unlimited.
Arrival: June 23, 2013 (after lunch).
Competition: June 24 - 30, 2013.
Departure: June 30, 2013 (after lunch).
Competition venue. Lithuanian Blind Library. Address: Skroblø str. 10, LT -
03142, Vilnius.
Tournament format. The games will be played in nine (9) rounds by Swiss
system. Time control - 90 min for the rest of the game with an addition of
30 seconds per move starting from move one. I.B.C.A. rules shall apply. All
participants are requested to bring their own chess sets.
Awards. Winner of the tournament will be awarded the cup. Three best players
will be awarded medals of a certain degree. Money prizes (100 percent of the
entry fee) will be given to best three players and the best female player
(when a person wins in more than one category, only one prize will be
rewarded).
Ranking. If players gain an equal number of points the higher-ranked player
will be decided by:
1 - M. Bucholz
2 - Bucholz
3 - The winner of the match between the players involved
4 - The position will be shared
Accommodation and meals. Participants will be accommodated in 3 stars Hotel
in double and triple rooms. Meals will be served at the restaurant of the
Hotel.
Participation fees. Participation fee - 400 Euros per person (players and
staff) per invitational period. It includes accommodation, transportation to
the hotel and back to the airport/train station and meals from Sunday (June
23) dinner till Sunday (June 30) lunch. Entry fee - 10 Euros per player.
Additional stay. If you wish to come earlier or depart later than indicated
in the invitational period, you will have to pay additionally: Extra bed &
breakfast per person - 50 Euro. Extra lunch - 15 Euro and extra dinner - 10
Euro per person.
Payment. Entry fees can be paid in cash upon arrival. 50% of the
participation fee should be paid by bank transfer before May 1, 2013 to the
following Sports Club "ÐALTINIS" account.
Other part of the participation fee can be paid by bank transfer before or
in cash upon arrival.
Visas. Countries whose citizens require visas to enter the Republic of
Lithuania are kindly requested to contact the nearest (or most convenient
one for you to travel to) diplomatic mission and consular post of Lithuania
for visa issues. Please check the visa requirements here:

process may take up to three months.
Registration: Interested organizations are kindly asked to express their
wish to take part in the tournament before March 1, 2013, by sending
preliminary information about the delegation (number of players and staff),
and confirm their participation in the tournament by sending completed Entry
form to the SC "ÐALTINIS" as soon as possible but no later than March 1,
2013.
